ABOUT THE PROJECT – IN PROGRESS

This large rooftop in the eastern suburbs boasts of great ocean views, the design intent of this rooftop was to create different zones across the rooftop where you could relax and enjoy the views.

Low planter boxes full of rounded shrubs, groundcovers and other small plants will stretch around the edge of the balcony, framing the views. These plants will be carefully selected to ensure they are suitable for the location due to its proximity to the coast and high amounts of sun year round.

The design includes wide variety of different seating areas including a formal dining area, sun lounge and outdoor couches. All of these spaces form different zones across the rooftop and provide various options for relaxation and hosting.

Providing a form of shade was a significant driver in the design, the addition of an overhead structure above the outdoor dining area will provide shade for guests even in the summer months, allowing you to enjoy the rooftop year round.
