ABOUT THE PROJECT

This micro garden really does pack a punch. Its all about first impressions and that’s what this little garden provides, but the way we have laid the garden out on the angle enables us to create a sense of layered privacy and evening contrast. Measuring only twelve meters squared we wanted to visually stretch the space, this allows us to accommodate a screened area for bins, a private seating nook for our clients to take in a cup of tea or a sneaky Sunday afternoon snooze.

Raised planters allow for mix height shrubs, ground covers create seasonal interest, and the vase shaped deciduous trees allow for that winter sun and summer shade, as well as privacy from passers bye. The cooling ripple of the water feature dilutes the traffic noise and draws the eyes from inside the house with its evening shadows.
