Project Description

INNER CITY BUSH GETAWAY – IN PROGRESS

Pritchard Street, Marrickville | Residential

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our garden designs are always driven by what inspires our clients and this exciting project is such a great example. It’s about being outside, taking a moment for personal engagement and reflection, but also gathering around a firepit for a few wines with friends. Our client luvs going bush, engaging with nature, and being surrounded by tactile elements, but even though this great home was created by a transformation of an old warehouse, the only visual reminder is the original vertical brick column

So, by extending the feature brick we can not only create a tactile feature that will draw you outside but provide a flexible seating option as well as strong focal point. Laying the garden out on an angle, creates a sense of depth and the opportunity to provide a natural planting scheme. Flexibility is key so seating is a combination of individual and lounge style, this is complimented by zero maintenance gravel flooring and oversized step stones allow for ground covers to sprawl. Tree ferns provide privacy as well as dapple shade and uplighting giant wall mounted stag horns create evening drama

“The end result is amazing, I am forever getting comments on the evolving garden. The garden was not only an extension of my home but also of my personality.”
