With far reaching views of the breath-taking Blue Mountains this incredible penthouse rooftop terrace has it all, except a calm green private getaway.

So, this proposed design provides a great balance of low maintenance and seasonal gardening interest. Plant selection is on the basis of hardy, drought tolerant survival of the fittest. Contrasting natural cloud shapes of the key shrubs frame the views, whilst a combination of higher screening plants provide protection for the elements and privacy.

The bespoke fabricated planters are painted in earthy natural tones and the variation of sizes and heights represent the natural height variations found within a typical garden. This coupled with the green roof and built in vergola above the private seating zone create both cooling to the building as well as reduced height island effect to the client’s apartment below.

This garden will be a beacon of green on the North Sydney skyline.
