This natural playground brings to life the school’s passion for the grove: what it represents, and how they want their children to connect with nature.
Each activity pocket offers a number of experiences and challenges at ground level and above, with a common theme of learning through activity and exploration.
Connecting with the senses is key, and the opportunity to express oneself, whether individually or as part of a group, is paramount in building future generations.
“Katrine from Outhouse Design was amazing to work with. She was creative and thorough. She went to great lengths to understand our logo, vision and the needs of the students.
The design reflected student voice and the sensory processing and play needs of our students. There is a balance of curiosity and directed play, outdoor learning spaces and sensory inputs for our students. This is coupled with the right balance of shade, plants and landscaping, inclusive of a yarning circle and Aboriginal totems.”
